Physician Recruitment

“Join us … in building a strong foundation of health care.”
Dr. Farai Senzani and his wife, Kate, arrived in Spiritwood on November 19, 2011 after the completion of the Saskatchewan International Physician Assessment Programme (SIPPA) and a two month clinical assessment in
Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Dr. Senzani has a particular interest in cardiology and surgery but also has extensive experience in general surgery, obstetrics and emergency care. He describes himself as having great curiosity and he enjoys the challenges of getting to know his patients; as well as diagnosing and treating them.

Prior to coming to Saskatchewan, Dr. Senzani practiced medicine in South Africa and Botswana and Kate worked as a management consultant in South Africa. The newlyweds sought a new place to settle down and call home; and were thrilled when they were presented with the opportunity to move to Spiritwood. The opportunity to move to Spiritwood came at the right time for the Senzanis.

"We feel right at home. The people here are both warm and welcoming. Spiritwood is definitely an easy place to fall in love with" Kate says.

Kate has enjoyed being a housewife since arriving in Spiritwood, but she is now looking forward to getting a bit busy. She will be working part-time with Prairie Community Endeavours and she hopes she can make a small difference there.

Dr. Senzani began working in Spiritwood on December 1, 2011. What a gratifying and exciting development for all who have been involved in efforts at physician recruitment for our communities!
